Governors React to Supreme Court Ruling on Mifepristone

“The Reproductive Freedom Alliance is relieved that the Supreme Court has temporarily restored access to mifepristone, ensuring patients can receive care without unnecessary barriers. As Governors, we are concerned about the confusion caused by shifting court rulings that has created chaos across the health care system—leaving patients and providers in an unsustainable position. This moment makes clear the consequences of politicizing decisions about mifepristone, a medication the FDA has approved as safe and effective for more than two decades. We urge the full Court to maintain access permanently and to ensure decisions about reproductive health care remain rooted in science and evidence-based medicine.”
